All members of the association of professional immigration consultants are expected to conduct there business ethically,in accordance with the law of the land and as per immigrations laws policies and procedures of the subject country.It is mandatory for the members to follow the Code of Ethics in letter and spirit.Any violation will make the member liable for disciplinary action and termination of membership :
- The Immigration consultant must discharge its duties toward its clients,all level of the immigration department,members of the public and his fellow members of the association with integrity.
- A immigration consultant owes a duty to his client to be competent enough to perform the services,which the consultant undertakes on his behalf.The immigration consultant should server his clients in a conscientious,diligent and efficient manner and he should provide quality service,at least equal to that which immigration consultant generally would expect of a competent immigration consultant in a like situation.
- The immigration consultant must be both candid and honest while advising his client.
- The immigration consultant has a duty to hold in strict confidence all the information acquired in the course of the professional relationship concerning the business and affairs of the client and he should not divulge any such information unless authorized by his client or required by law to do so.
- The immigration consultant should take care to avoid conflicts of interest with other immigration consultants in term of litreture,advertisement,publicity and staff.
- The immigration consultant who engages in another profession,business or occupation concurrently with the immigration practice must not allow such outside interest to jeopardize his professional integrity,independence or competence.
- When acting on behalf of a client, the immigration consultant must treat the tribunal with courtesy and respect,represent his client resolutely,honourably and within the limits of the law.
- The immigration consultant should not under-take to act for,charge or accept any fee,which is not fully disclosed,fair and reasonable.Such agreement must be in writing.
- The consultant must take all reasonable care to ensure that before any engagement is entered on behalf of the client,that the client is made aware in writing of the precise nature of the engagement and all significant matters and a proper document agreement is executed with the client in writing with his full consent.
- The immigration consultant should encourage community respect and attempt to improve,where possible the administration of the immigration ACT.
- The immigration consultant owes a duty to his client not to withdraw his services except for a good cause and upon notice which is appropriate in the circumstances.
- The immigration consultant should assist in maintaining the integrity of the profession and should participates in its activities,which enhance it.
- The immigration consultant should assist in preventing the unauthorized practice of immigration consultancy.
- The immigration consultant’s conduct towards other consultant should be characterized by courtesy and good faith.
- The/ immigration consultant must ensure that no direct / indirect act or statement of his should affect the business of reputation of any other consultant.
- No immigration consultant will lure or incite the employee of any other immigration consultant.NOC / concurrence is to be taken from the previous employer if the selected employee had been working for another immigration consultancy company irrespective of position and status of the employee.
- Immigration consultant will be truthful in submitted only the verified information of the Association and will not rely on hearsay or his self-perception / deduction.
- Immigration consultant should avoid opening up offices in immediate vicinity of another such member consultant.
- The immigration consultant will try to resolve all matters of dispute bilaterly.Failing which the matter will be referred to the association whose decision will be final and binding.
- Immigration consultant should display prominently the credentials of his organization i.e. :

Company Registration
License from Protector General of immigrants Ministry of Labour Govt. of India.
Any other certifications / credentials

Notes :-
- The code of ethics is not exhaustive.Any act of omission of the member,which is considered violation of Good conduct,will be referred to the discipline Committee.The Verdict of the APIC will be final.
- An Amendment or change to Code of Ethics can be made with the approval of (1/3) one – third majority of the founder members.
